Christian Bluegrass is a subgenre of bluegrass music distinguished by its lyrical content, which exclusively focuses on Christian themes such as worship, spiritual narratives, and gospel messages. It emerged from the broader bluegrass movement, retaining its characteristic instrumentation including banjo, fiddle, mandolin, acoustic guitar, upright bass, and often dobro, alongside prominent multi-part vocal harmonies. The music typically features driving rhythms and varying tempos, often conveying an uplifting, reverent, or reflective mood, while maintaining the raw, authentic sound synonymous with traditional bluegrass.
