Nightcore-events in Los Angeles

Nightcore is an internet-born music style that originated in the early 2000s through the Norwegian duo of the same name, primarily characterized by speeding up existing source material by approximately twenty to thirty percent. This technique results in a significant increase in tempo and a high-pitched chipmunk vocal effect, often utilizing trance, techno, and dance-pop as its foundational instrumentation. The genre is defined by its high-octane energy and a hyperactive, euphoric mood that has become intrinsically linked to anime aesthetics and digital remix culture. While it shares structural similarities with happy hardcore and bubblegum dance, nightcore is distinct as a derivative editing style rather than a genre composed of original, from-scratch productions.
