Sleaze Rock-concerten en liveshows in Los Angeles

Sleaze rock emerged in the late 1980s as a gritty, street-oriented offshoot of glam metal and hard rock, pioneered by bands in Los Angeles and the United Kingdom. Characterized by heavily distorted electric guitars, driving 4/4 drum rhythms, and raw, often raspy vocals, the genre prioritizes a rebellious and hedonistic mood over the polished production of its mainstream contemporaries. It serves as a semantic bridge between the theatricality of hair metal and the unrefined aggression of punk rock, emphasizing a low-life aesthetic and high-energy performance. Typical instrumentation remains strictly traditional for rock, focusing on high-gain amplification and a heavy backbeat to deliver its characteristic raucous and decadent sonic profile.
