Miami Hip Hop-events deze week in Milaan

Miami hip hop, predominantly known as Miami Bass, emerged in the mid-1980s Southern Florida scene as a high-energy fusion of electro-funk and old-school hip hop. Characterized by the aggressive use of the Roland TR-808 kick drum, the genre features booming sub-bass frequencies and rapid, syncopated tempos typically ranging between 115 and 130 BPM. The music is defined by its celebratory, party-centric atmosphere and frequently incorporates call-and-response vocals or sexually suggestive lyrics designed for club environments. As a foundational pillar of Southern rap, it shares a deep semantic lineage with electro while directly influencing the later development of genres like crunk and Baltimore club.
