New Orleans Blues-concerten en liveshows in Milaan

New Orleans blues emerged in the post-WWII era, blending traditional twelve-bar blues with the city's unique Afro-Caribbean "Spanish tinge" and second-line parade rhythms. Characterized by a heavy reliance on the piano and exuberant brass arrangements, the genre features syncopated boogie-woogie bass lines and relaxed, soulful vocal performances. It maintains a distinctively festive and rhythmic mood, differing from the starker Delta blues by incorporating rhumba beats and complex jazz-influenced harmonies. This regional style serves as a critical evolutionary link between acoustic rural blues and the electrified jump blues that paved the way for early rock and roll and modern rhythm and blues.
