Boogie-events dit weekend in Parijs

Boogie, also known as post-disco, emerged in the late 1970s as a transition from orchestral disco toward a more electronic, synthesizer-driven sound. Characterized by prominent synth-bass lines, slapped electric bass, and mid-tempo rhythmic grooves typically ranging from 110 to 120 beats per minute, it creates a sophisticated yet infectious dancefloor mood. This genre heavily utilizes drum machines like the LinnDrum alongside funky guitar riffs and soulful vocal performances, bridging the gap between classic funk and the subsequent rise of contemporary R&B. Its semantic relationship to disco is defined by a stripped-down, hi-tech production style that replaced large string sections with innovative digital and analog synthesis.
