Indian Electronic-events deze week in Parijs

Indian electronic music emerged from the fusion of traditional South Asian classical and folk elements with Western electronic production, gaining significant international visibility during the 1990s Asian Underground movement. The genre typically employs a blend of digital synthesizers and drum machines alongside acoustic instruments like the tabla, sitar, and harmonium to create a unique sonic tapestry. Its rhythmic structures often feature complex syncopation and polyrhythms, maintaining tempos that fluctuate between ambient explorations and high-energy club grooves. Characterized by a mood that transitions from spiritual and meditative to celebratory, Indian electronic music serves as a cultural bridge, semantically linking heritage-rich raga structures with modern global techno, house, and bass music.
