Noise Punk-events in Parijs

Noise punk is a dissonant subgenre that emerged during the late 1970s and early 1980s, blending the raw aggression of hardcore punk with the abrasive, experimental textures of noise music. Its sonic palette is defined by heavily distorted electric guitars, piercing feedback, and driving, often chaotic percussion that prioritizes visceral impact over conventional melodic structure. The genre is characterized by a confrontational and nihilistic mood, frequently utilizing non-musical sounds to create a wall of sonic saturation. Seated between the DIY ethics of punk rock and the avant-garde sensibilities of industrial music, it influenced diverse movements ranging from grunge to contemporary power electronics.
