The genre is defined by its relentless, distorted 4/4 kick drums, heavily compressed percussion loops, and a distinct lack of melodic elements, favoring industrial and mechanical textures instead. Operating at tempos typically ranging from 140 to 160 BPM, the music creates a dark, aggressive, and high-energy atmosphere through repetitive, polyrhythmic layering and abrasive sonic palettes.
