3 Step-events in Rotterdam

Emerging from the vibrant United Kingdom underground scene, 3-step is a rhythmic evolution of UK Garage that gained prominence in the late 2010s by bridging the gap between traditional 2-step shuffle and four-on-the-floor beats. It is characterized by its distinctive syncopated triplet-based structure, featuring bright synthesizer chords, soulful vocal chops, and deep, melodic basslines that emphasize a bouncy, swinging feel. With a standard tempo ranging between 130 and 140 BPM, the genre exudes an uplifting and energetic mood often associated with the modern garage revival led by labels like Kiwi Rekords. This style serves as a crucial link between nostalgic pirate radio sounds and contemporary electronic dance music production, maintaining high danceability through its rhythmic complexity.
