House-events dit weekend in San Francisco

House is a prominent genre of electronic dance music that originated in the underground club scene of Chicago in the early 1980s. Characterized by a repetitive four-on-the-floor beat, synthesized basslines, and usually a tempo ranging between 115 and 130 beats per minute, it frequently incorporates soul and funk sampled elements, piano chords, and catchy vocal hooks. The mood of house music spans from uplifting and euphoric to deep and hypnotic, designed primarily to keep clubgoers moving on the dancefloor. It serves as a foundational pillar for modern electronic music, branching into numerous subgenres while maintaining its iconic steady groove.
