Estonian Rock-concerten en liveshows in Tallinn

Estonian rock emerged in the late 1960s as a powerful medium for cultural expression and political resistance during the Soviet occupation. Characterized by a blend of Western psychedelic and progressive influences with local folk motifs, the genre features traditional rock instrumentation such as electric guitars and synthesizers. The music often maintains a mid-to-fast tempo with driving rhythms, though it frequently explores introspective and poetic themes that were central to the Singing Revolution. Semantically, it occupies a space between classic Western rock and Eastern European underground movements, serving as a distinct national identity marker within the broader Baltic music scene.
