Frenchcore-events deze maand in Toulouse

Frenchcore is a high-tempo subgenre of hardcore techno that originated in the 1990s French underground rave scene before gaining massive popularity in the Netherlands. It is characterized by its exceptionally fast tempo, typically ranging from 180 to 220 BPM, and its signature "bouncing" distorted kick drum that often incorporates melodic or orchestral elements. The genre maintains a driving, four-on-the-floor rhythmic structure with high energy levels, blending aggressive industrial textures with surprisingly euphoric or cinematic motifs. Semantically, it occupies a space between mainstream gabber and the more extreme speeds of terrorcore, defined by its distinctive galloping offbeat basslines and polished production.
