Celtic Rock-concerten en liveshows in Utrecht

Celtic rock emerged in the late 1960s and early 1970s as a hybrid genre that fuses the instrumentation and energy of rock music with traditional Celtic folk melodies. Primarily rooted in Ireland, Scotland, and Wales, the genre typically features a combination of electric guitars and drum kits alongside traditional instruments like the fiddle, tin whistle, and uilleann pipes. The rhythm frequently adapts traditional dance forms such as jigs and reels into a driving 4/4 rock backbeat, resulting in a mood that ranges from anthemic and celebratory to deeply melancholic. This stylistic intersection provides a bridge between the raw power of hard rock and the intricate storytelling traditions of the British Isles.
