Pentecostal Music-events deze week in Zurich

Pentecostal music is a vibrant and spiritually-driven genre rooted in the worship practices of Pentecostal churches, emerging from the early 20th century. It is characterized by its enthusiastic, often improvisational style, aiming to foster a direct, experiential connection with the divine. Instrumentation typically includes a rhythm section (drums, bass, guitar, keyboards), often augmented by brass, strings, and prominent vocal ensembles or choirs. Rhythms are frequently upbeat and driving, encouraging congregational participation through clapping, dancing, and spontaneous praise, drawing heavily from gospel, spirituals, and contemporary Christian music traditions.
