Stoner Metal-concerten en liveshows in Zurich

Stoner metal emerged in the early 1990s from the California Palm Desert scene, synthesizing the heavy riffs of Black Sabbath with psychedelic rock and doom metal influences. The genre is defined by downtuned electric guitars saturated in thick fuzz distortion, creating a dense and hypnotic wall of sound alongside a driving, groove-oriented bassline. Rhythmically, it maintains a slow to mid-tempo pace that emphasizes repetitive, bluesy motifs intended to induce a hazy or trance-like state in the listener. This style acts as a bridge between the abrasive grit of sludge metal and the melodic, atmospheric explorations of acid rock, often featuring clean yet powerful vocals.
