Aaram, a poorly executed film, suffers from a weak script, clumsy direction, lack of engaging plot twists, and amateurish performances (even Saiju Kurup acted so bad in this nonsensical film). Technically speaking, it feels like an outdated movie and unbearable music (once it is ongoing with 2 or 3 songs, why should it include a song in mysterious or crime investigation stories?). It is very irritating and builds a lag in the mind of the viewer. Despite its potential, the film struggles to leave a lasting impression, fading away almost as soon as the credits roll. Flat narration throughout. It felt like one of those movies that finally gets released after sitting in the can for ages. Overall, it’s a dull, forgettable, and disappointing watch. A thriller that offers absolutely no thrills. It is a film seemingly shot with the intention of ensuring the audience feels no emotional connection whatsoever to the crime, the victim, or the accused. The movie has a runtime of less than two hours but felt really stretched (just short film content). Even though Saiju Kurup's films often don't garner much attention in theaters, they tend to receive a good reception on OTT platforms. I watch almost all his movies; in theaters they usually maintain a certain minimum quality. I went to watch this one with that same expectation, but I felt let down. 😐📉Theatre Visit 🎥 2026
