my most favourite Bergman film yet. emotionally devastating. highly triggering. i guess the apple’s rotten right to the core vibes. feels thematically ahead of its time (??) but maybe that’s just because people from Scandinavia know themselves far better than British people probably ever will. incredible performances all round. had to go for a massage after.
