Haru beleeft een doodnormale schooldag, maar wanneer ze met een vriendinnetje naar huis loopt gebeurt er iets merkwaardigs. Ze redt een kat die bijna werd overreden door een auto, en tot haar verbazing staat het dier op en bedankt haar. Haru is perplex maar haar moeder herinnert haar aan een vergelijkbaar voorval van toen ze nog klein was. 's Avonds blijkt er een processie van katten op straat plaats te vinden.
