This Italian SOV gem is a prime example of paranormal horror done right. It caught me off guard because I didn’t expect it to be so unsettling. I love haunted houses that ooze fog, provide candelabras and reveal an icy transparent hand floating separately from its body. A must watch if you’re a fan of SOV/found footage and David Lynch. It also reminded me a lot of a PC game I played years ago called Scratches. Watch here
Just the idea to have SOV shaky-cam accompany shrilled chamber music to heighten the unnerving atmosphere was fucking brilliant, which totally made up for the generic setup and oftentimes cheesy voice dubbing.A must-watch if you're looking for a spooky but refreshingly restrained eurohorror experience.
