SLAMDANCE WORLD PREMIERE
An anthology feature that explores Black identity through three distinct lenses, each tied to a color of the Pan-African flag. There’s a lot of rich ideas in this film. The “Red” segment follows a failed athlete grappling with lost potential and identity. “Black” centers on a struggling immigrant single mother, capturing the weight of survival and responsibility. “Green” shifts to an actor who has compromised his beliefs, digging into the cost of success and self-betrayal.Each story tackles a different facet of Blackness. With so many ideas to connect and explore, the story gets muddled. I think each would benefit from an expanding view on each part of the story, with a stronger connection point. DIFF 26’
