This feels like yet another retelling of #Mirage, the Spanish time-travel thriller on Netflix, which was previously adapted into Dobaaraa by Anurag Kashyap, starring Taapsee Pannu. This version makes the lead character a toxic stalker, but beyond that, the narrative remains frustratingly familiar, with very little to distinguish it from its predecessors.As someone who genuinely loves the time-travel genre, I wanted to enjoy this one as well. And to be fair, if I switch off my brain and go along for the ride, there's some entertainment to be found. But the terrible music, uneven screenplay and glaring technical inconsistencies make it difficult to stay invested. What really disappoints me is how all three versions arrive at essentially the same ending, leaving little room for surprise or a fresh perspective.I tried to enjoy it for what it was, but familiarity eventually gives way to frustration. A compelling premise can survive a few narrative liberties, but not when the execution brings so little of its own to the table. Another below-average time-travel thriller that borrows more than it reinvents.
