Frank Joseph Perry, Jr. (August 21, 1930 – August 29, 1995) was an American director.
Frank Perry was an influential American film director and producer active from the 1960s through the early 1990s, recognized for his work in psychological dramas and his contributions to early independent filmmaking.
He is best known for directing the Academy Award-nominated David and Lisa, the surreal drama The Swimmer, and the cult film Mommie Dearest.
Perry frequently collaborated with his wife, screenwriter Eleanor Perry, on scripts that explored the complex interior lives of their protagonists.
