Ken Hughes was a British director and screenwriter who worked across several genres, including crime, thrillers, and big-budget musicals, throughout the mid-20th century.
He is recognized for directing the family musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the biographical drama The Trials of Oscar Wilde.
His notable filmography includes the 1967 spy spoof Casino Royale and the historical war drama Cromwell.
