Maya da Costa is Canadian artist of Portuguese and Vietnamese descent, based in Vancouver, Canada. Best known for her recurring role as Maya Longette in Under the Bridge for Hulu, Maya plays one of the core group of teens who were accused of the savage murder of Reena Virk in this award winning TV miniseries by creator Quinn Shephard, starring Lily Gladstone, Riley Keough, and Vritika Gupta. As a youth, Maya made her debut television appearance on The Healing Powers of Dude for Netflix, followed by commercial campaigns for Canadian Tire and State Farm Insurance. Other credits include Descendants: Wicked Wonderland (Disney), and Avatar: The Last Airbender (Netflix). Maya’s acting training began at age 12 in at McIlroy and Associates with Beatrice King in their Professional Screen Acting Programs for teens, and Tricities Film Studio with Lisa Durupt. As a dancer, Maya trained intensively in contemporary, ballet, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, tap, musical theatre, modern and commercial dance with acclaimed instructors and choreographers in Vancouver. She is a 2024 graduate of Harbour Dance Centre’s Intensive Training Program for commercial dance, and also trained with renowned contemporary training program Modus Operandi.
