Antonio Moreno was a prominent Spanish-American actor and film director active from 1912 until the 1960s, recognized as a major matinee idol during the silent era.
He is known for his starring role opposite Clara Bow in the 1927 film It, as well as later supporting roles in Alfred Hitchcock's Notorious and John Ford's The Searchers.
He directed early Mexican sound films, most notably the 1932 production of Santa, which is considered a significant milestone in Mexican national cinema.
