He is known for directing acclaimed projects such as the Oscar-nominated Island in Between, Our Time Machine, and A Village Called Versailles. Based between Taipei and San Francisco, he is a Peabody Award winner and an active member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
