Growing up in the church, Sekou developed a deep appreciation for Gospel music, and his powerful vocal ability is rooted in this foundation. Inspired by legends like Whitney Houston, Frank ocean, Michael Jackson, and Beyoncé, Sekou blends classic soul with contemporary pop. After signing with his label, he spent two years perfecting his unique sound. In 2023, his breakout single 'Better Man' debuted at BBC Introducing's tent in Glastonbury, showcasing his vocal range and heartfelt songwriting.
