Feico Deutekom

Feico Deutekom had an early introduction to music through his father, a jazz musician. Learning the piano during his childhood, he studied classical music before turning towards contemporary music. 
 In 2018 he released FEICO SOLO, a piano album with music of Glass, Lang, Sakamoto, Adams and Pӓrt. The album was chosen as CD OF THE WEEK on Dutch National Radio. 
 Late 2019 Orange Mountain Music, the official Philip Glass music channel, released Facades. A full album MUSICAL OFFERING, including piano solo arrangements of Glass music followed on January 31st 2020, Philip Glass's birthday. In April 2024 Orange Mountain Music will release Feico's third solo album, dedicated to the Piano Etudes of Philip Glass. 
 Feico is a regular guest player at Philip Glass concerts in The Netherlands, performing music from Einstein on the Beach, Akhnaten, Music in Similar Motion, Hydrogen Jukebox and The Photographer. He has played quatre mains together with Philip Glass (The Chase); with singer Tara Hugo he has performed songs from The Book of Longing. Since 2023 he is a guest player and singer of the Philip Glass Ensemble on tours. 
 Co-founder of the Attacca Ensemble, Feico has given concerts both as a pianist and as a singer of music by Philip Glass, David Lang and Arvo Pӓrt. Highlights on the Ensemble's repertory are Glass's Another Look at Harmony Part 4, Pӓrt's Kanon Pokajaanen and Lang's Little Match Girl Passion.
