Munay

Munay is a Dutch DJ and producer who specializes in Techouse, UKG and (UK) Bass House when creating new tracks. It was through (UK) Bass House that he became interested in producing and spinning his own music. He draws inspiration from artists such as AC Slater, Marco Strous, Endor and Iglesias (UK). But more recentely he also tries to learn from artists like Malugi, Morgan Seatree and Interplanetary Criminal. As a former bassist of an alternative rock band, Munay appreciates a solid bassline. Munay is the stage name of Willem van Ruijven, a Dutch DJ with Peruvian roots. Munay translates from the language of the Q'eros, Inca shamans in Peru, as ''love from your soul'' with the underlying meaning of ''be true to yourself''.
