Alfian Emir Adytia

Dubbed the “Jimi Hendrix of the cello” and a vanguard of “New Indonesian Wave,” Emir Cello (Alfian Emir Adytia) is a progressive Indonesian cellist known for his exciting blend of classical music, jazz, metal, and Indonesian folk music. His music is both sonically daring and socially charged. His latest project, Decolmuseum, reinterprets colonial history through sound and intertwines his Javanese and Minangkabau roots with Western influences.
