Max grew up in Tampa, cut his teeth in Nashville and London, and now resides in The Shoals. Max names Levon Helm, Jeff Buckley, Otis Redding, Courtney Barnett, George Jones, John Prine, James Brown, Nick Drake, Iris DeMent, Tom Waits, and 60s garage psych as his influences.
