EMEX

EMEX is the emergent project of George Apergis, one of the pioneers of Hellenic Electronic Dance Scene with a big career in Athens and Berlin. Owner of Modular Expansion who has to its credit actions with the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Athens. Actions such as vinyl releases, art videos and publishing events. EMEX have performances in a lot of European cities and famous places like Berghain, Tresor, Renate, Suicide, Sisyphos, the legendary Clubs in Berlin, also in cities like London, Rome, Barcelona, Lucerne, Sofia, Warsaw, Moscow, Tel Aviv and at the most prestigious places in Athens. In 2014 George Apergis created EMEX project with Alex Retsis for live performance series until 2016. In 2024 the duo reunited with the live performance in Phygital audiovisual show for Ministry of Culture, at the same time released the Phygital EP on Modular Expansion. EMEX has many releases on labels such as Modular Expansion, Etruria Beat, Credo, Denude, SYXT and Konsequent. In 2015 released "00110001" with the support of KORG Synthesizers, which cover won a European Design Award. At the same time has two releases "Hyperion" and "Cluster of Time" with Berlin friends studio416. In 2022 released “Hi'iaka” and in 2023 “Touch Infinity” both published alongside artistic video supported by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture. EMEX music has been remixed by artists like Brian Sanhaji, Subjected, Radial, Alexander Kowalski, SLV, Progression and Developer.
