Weekend Fixers

We are Weekend Fixers. Our sophomore self titled album has just been released. it's with great sadness but anticipation that I release this album after the passing of my friend and bandmate Roel Tijsken ( Jack Matthew Tyson ) I want to dedicate this album to his memory. we had three songs completed when he had his emergency and upon hearing they were stopping treatment and he would soon be passing, i went through any music and sounds he might have sent me and started the task of trying to put songs together with them. the result is this 8 song album ( 3 we completed together and 5 I completed recently) in his memory the music will live on and I hope to get a chance for as many as possible to hear it. Our story starts on Facebook, where scott allen martinez started a group asking all small indie/alternative/college radio bands to add their songs to an open Spotify playlist and share it. Hoping we (as artists) could help each other get our songs heard. Jack Matthew Tyson responded by adding one of his songs to the playlist, but also volunteering to remix a song by scott allen martinez as a thank you. They started talking and decided to record songs together. Jack Matthew Tyson being in Belgium and scott allen martinez in the United States ( Los Angeles ), they shared recordings, often working on the songs while the other was sleeping across the world. In less than two months, a whole album’s worth of music was recorded resulting in the debut album Euphonious Fete.
