Carlos was born in the greater Seattle area of Washington state in the USA and taught himself piano at the age of 7. Soon after, he was introduced to wind instruments via his school band program, and eventually settled on tenor saxophone as his primary instrument. He graduated from the Berklee College of Music 2020, majoring in Contemporary Writing and Production, and also minored in Video Game Scoring.
