Swan

Singer and songwriter/producer Swan (Femke Groen) sets herself apart within the Alternative R&B genre with a blunt yet poetic songwriting style and refined harmonies supported by groovy productions. In the writing process, the storyline and visuals are often deeply intertwined; creating a world that goes beyond just the musical experience. In her songs she encourages her listeners to see their vulnerability as strength. She already opened for Jeangu Macrooy and Pete Philly & Perquisite on their European Tour and did the support for legendary soul singer Gladys Knight in Royal Theatre Carré in Amsterdam. In the summer of 2024, she and her band also performed at the renowned North Sea Jazz festival. Swan’s debut album Underneath My Façade, which she produced together with Perquisite, was released on January 10, 2025 on Unexpected Records and was presented on March 8, 2025 with an energetic live show at De Melkweg in Amsterdam. On April 11, 2025, Swan released Get A Grip, a unique collaboration with Dutch singer and songwriter GINGE, which was produced by Perquisite. On November 14, 2025, Swan released her single God's Favorite, a collaboration with American Producer Anwar Sawyer (known for his work with Audrey Nuna among others). Together they are currently working on her second EP, which is scheduled for international release in May 2026. The second single from this EP, Butterflies, was recently released via Unexpected Records.
