Francesco Beccaro
An underground experimental jazz artist.
Francesco Beccaro is a Berlin–based bass player and composer. He is known for his deep grooves, soulful melodies and experimental attitude, in a style that often blends jazz, rock and funk in extremely evocative compositions. Francesco graduated form the Collective School of Music in New York and is one of the featured soloists in Victor Wooten's instructional DVD entitled "Groove Workshop.” His keen musical sensitivity brought him to tour extensively with Popa Chubby (Big, Bad and Beautiful (Live)), KDrew, Monifah and Screaming Headless Torsos to name just a few. His psychedelic rock band Play By Fear first record First of First has been nominated for the 2021 Grammy Awards as Best Rock Album. As a composer, he scored music for documentaries, dance films and shows, and short movies. Francesco was a faculty member at The Collective School Of music (New York, USA) from 2009 to 2018.
