Vadim Chaimovich was born in Vilnius, Lithuania. After winning First Prize at the Virtuosi per Musica di Pianoforte International Competition in 1991, he received further awards at competitions across Europe and the United States. In 2003, he was honored with the Promotion Prize of the Dresden Art and Culture Foundation. He has performed widely in Europe, Japan and the United States, appearing at venues such as the Musikverein in Vienna and Carnegie Hall in New York, and collaborating with orchestras including the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, the Dortmund Philharmonic and the North Hungarian Symphony Orchestra. His recordings have been featured in film and television productions, including the series Babylon Berlin and the Sky Original Hausen. His recording of Chopin’s Nocturne in E-flat major has reached a global audience online, becoming one of the most widely heard classical piano recordings.
