About

HOLOSOIL is an atypical newcomer in the prog scene. The Berlin/Helsinki formation launched in 2025, seeking a fresh and appealing approach to progressive music by combining vintage metal codes, electronic music, and modern musicianship. Thirsty for innovation, the band aims to create a sound of their own and stretch the boundaries of contemporary rock music. HOLOSOIL, formerly known as R3VO and signed to InsideOutMusic in 2023, is a band founded by Victor Nissim (bass) and Jan Kurfürst (guitar), later joined by Altaïr Chagué (drums). The name change occurred after Emelie Sederholm joined the band as lead vocalist. Under their old name, the band was featured in Metal Hammer magazine and performed at Euroblast Festival 2023. HOLOSOIL follows the likes of artists like Björk, The Mars Volta, Muse and Tool. Whilst groove fueled guitars meet powerhouse drumming, the band doesn’t shy away from ethereal sceneries topped off with crystal-like vocals. Possessed by a connection to nature that transpires in the sound and visual aesthetic of the band, Emelie Sederholm (alias “Venior“) brought her R&B and scandinavian folklore background to the table, broadening the musical direction and making it a hard task to put a label on. HOLOSOIL’s debut EP „Look Up“ will be released on April 17th 2026 via InsideOutMusic.
