Karel Havlíček is a Czech film and television composer, pianist and multi-instrumentalist working between Prague and Los Angeles. His original scores include The Brothers (Bratři), Lion Ark, Carpe Noctem (released as Seize the Night), and the HBO Europe series Terapie and Mamon. His score for The Brothers received a Czech Lion nomination for Best Music. He has also created trailer music for HBO/Max’s The Penguin and Prime Video’s ELLE. In 2026, OSA named him among the three most successful Czech popular-music authors abroad. Alongside his screen work, Havlíček writes and performs contemporary orchestral, electronic and piano music. His solo catalogue includes Spoken (2020), the two-part album It’s Never Late to See the Light (2025), and Return of the Sun (2026). His concerts combine original cinematic music, piano, electronics and orchestra.
