Kenza Chekkouri

Kenza is a captivating Moroccan singer-songwriter. Shaped by the musical rhythms of Marrakech, where she grew up, she was immersed in the rich musical tapestry of Morocco but her influences span the globe. Drawing inspiration from Jazz, Bossa Nova, and Soul, Kenza weaves a distinctive sound that is uniquely her own. Inspired by Alicia Keys, Lianne La Havas, Mayra Andrade, Oum, and Olivia Dean, her sound blends cultural richness into melodies that transcend borders. Born into a family where art was deeply valued, Kenza became the first musician in her lineage, picking up the guitar in her teens and never looking back. Her music is rooted in raw emotion, with ethereal vocals and heartfelt lyrics that resonate on a deeply personal level. She strongly aims at giving women a voice and is committed to writing feminist lyrics to shed light upon the daunting injustice that still stands universally. Before taking a leap of faith into music, Kenza spent seven years in the Fashion and Consulting industries. However, it was during her studies in Jazz in Paris and Songcraft in London that she truly discovered her artistic identity. She is fully dedicated to sharing her musical journey with the world—one soulful melody at a time, with a debut EP dropping in 2025. Based between Paris and London, she travels across France, Morocco, and the UK, bringing her music to diverse audiences. She even had the incredible opportunity to perform in Nashville at the renowned Tin Pan South Festival.
