Laura Omloop

Born in 1999, yodeling children's pop singer Laura Omloop found fame at the tender age of ten when she represented Belgium in the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Finishing fourth with a rendition of "Zo Verliefd," her homeland's highest-ever placing, she then appeared on the jury the following year, released follow-up single "Stapelgek Op Jou" and debut album "Verliefd", and performed the theme tune to animation series YooHoo & Friends. Laura releases successful Dutch-language kidspop albums three years in a row. With "Verliefd" (2010), "Wereld In Kleuren" (2011) and "Klaar Voor" (2012) she became a popular young singer in Flanders and also the Netherlands. In 2010 Omloop wins the prize for "Best Summer hit Kidspop" at Radio 2. She is also one of the nominees of the MIA's 2010, in the new category "Best Kidspop". In 2014 her album “Meer” was released via the record label Warner Music. With the new album “Meer” Laura Omloop made the transition to young pop singer. The first single “Meer” became number 1 in the Flemish Ultratop 50 Laura won a Golden K for 'female artist of the year'. A new single is ready, recorded in Rotterdam with Aka Block and the well-known Dutch producer Erah and world-famous Dutch music producer Avedon (Vincent van den Ende). She is currently at work on an album. In her latest single "Licht in het donker" Laura Omloop takes us on an emotional journey with memories of her grandfather.
