Doc Brown
Doc’s roots can be found in the UK Rap scene of the mid 2000s, when the west London MC was a staple of what was at the time, a pretty obscure world. Somehow, the skills he developed during this period proved to be transferable as Doc recorded his last serious song in 2007 and was on stage doing stand-up comedy by February 2008. Stand Up led to acting and Doc has starred in over 60 TV shows and Movies including Star Wars: Andor, The Split, Cinderella, Boiling Point, The Sixth Commandment and the forthcoming series of Black Mirror. On many productions Doc either performed or composed song lyrics, subsequently creating a business making diagetic music for TV and Film, forming his company Bust-A-Gut Productions in 2011. He met Razorlight’s Andy Burrows in 2015, whilst writing with Ricky Gervais on the movie David Brent: Life on the Road; they worked on various songs for the soundtrack and the pair have collaborated independently ever since, releasing their first official collab “Light Your Way” in 2021. In 2022 they composed a bespoke piece for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee which Doc performed at Buckingham Palace. The existence of a first album in seven years, “Do More, Say Less” in October 2024 is something of a minor miracle given that Doc had only met producer Tony Bones months beforehand. The pair started recording virtually in the winter, physically met in the spring and had an album completed by summer.
