Jason Perry

Whether serenading an introspective ballad, marinading in a greasy funk jam, or basking in an exuberant guitar solo, Perry’s insatiable thirst for life’s juices is tangible in every note. His most recent release, Flavor Factory, is an all out funk smorgasbord. It draws heavily from the New Orleans tradition and the iconic funkateers of the 70’s, all while bearing Perry’s inclination to existentialism. Perry’s 2021 release, Picnic Before The Apocalypse, was written during the peak of the pandemic and touches timeless existential themes. Predominately acoustic and contemplative, this album pairs well with mid-shelf whiskey. Perry’s 2020 release, Midnight Shenanigans, lives up to its name. Sonically, its tightly arranged, high energy funk-rock trio jams with crisp melodies. The songs explore the themes of late nights and crunchy mornings. Pairs well with a PNW tall-boy such as Rainier or PBR.
