Anais Vacariu
Born in Australia, and growing up in Romania, Anais now lives partly in Berlin where she makes her own music alongside being the lead singer in the rock band Kings & Pills. The artist gained significant traction in Romania after the release of her bilingual song "Cer DIvin" and competing in the Romanian National Semi-Finals of Eurovision. She started writing music at the age of 10, growing up surrounded mainly by classical orchestral music and taking inspiration from artists such as AURORA, Woodkid and Kate Bush, which has helped her develop her own distinct style of “dark pop orchestral rock” music. She writes in hope of being a voice that others can take on, in a way that will make them feel seen in their own way. In her writing she combines both her personal feelings and experiences with ongoing issues that the world surrounds us by. Anais is currently working on new music and looking to captivate her audience through her stage presence, powerful vocals and emotional music.
