Safety jacket is a band initially formed in Brighton, UK in 2019, now mainly residing in London. The band comprises of George Smale (vocals + guitar), Harvey Cash (bass + vocals) and Jono White (drums). Their passionate, vulnerable and cathartic indie rock songs are brimming with an honest, raw energy that their live shows have become known for. They are a band that prioritises feeling over perfectionism and polish, recording quickly; using basic, minimal equipment to keep the music as direct as possible. A band formed upon DIY ethos, booking their own tours, putting on shows for touring friends bands, making their own music videos, releasing their own music and have so far released two albums, 'Honey From the Wasp Nest' (2022) and 'Snow Falling Over the Sea' (2025). With studio time booked for February 2026, Safety jacket are currently working on a hoard of new material that sounds like a band honing their sound, utilising their strengths and challenging themselves, which should go onto become their most vital work yet.
