Corpus Delicti
Formed in Nice in 1992, Corpus Delicti quickly stood out with their energetic, melodic post-punk. Their debut Twilight (1993) became a cult classic, followed by two acclaimed albums and international tours. The band split in 1997, but their legacy grew, driven by a loyal global fanbase. In 2011, a full biography was published, and in 2019, US label Cleopatra reissued their catalog, bringing them to a new generation. They’re now regularly cited among gothic rock’s elite—Uncut named Sylphes one of the 200 essential gothic albums in 2025, the only French band included. Ascension called them “a mix of Bowie, Bauhaus and Christian Death.” The original members reunited in 2022 (with a new drummer), playing a sold-out comeback show in Cannes. This sparked a wave of packed shows across Europe and a hugely successful 2023 tour in Mexico. Festival appearances and millions of annual streams confirmed their renewed momentum. After their comeback single Chaos (2023) and the haunting A Fairy Lie (2024), Corpus Delicti now return with Liminal, out November 28, 2025. The album stays true to their roots while embracing a modern edge. The first single Room 36 features artwork and a video appearance by contemporary artist Jean-Luc Verna, blending visual art with sonic intensity. Corpus Delicti is back—more vital than ever on the global post-punk scene.
