Wael Sami Elkholy is a versatile artist, encompassing roles as a vocalist, composer, music producer, songwriter, and performer. His creative spectrum spans from oriental to pop and ventures into the realm of experimental music. For Wael, music is a means of communication and connection, a language without borders. Wael passionately collaborates with fellow music enthusiasts who share his vision. In 2015, he co-released the album 'Alte Liebe/Ancient Love/حب قديم' with the trio ab3ad featuring the exceptional bassist Björn Meyer. In 2019, he launched his solo album Wurzeln, a testament to his musical journey. Additionally, his project Almwaya, in collaboration with the multitalented musician Maya Aghniadis, known as Flugen, bore fruit in the form of their debut album, Riding a Camel In The Middle Of The Sea, released in 2022. In 2023, he initiated a remarkable collaboration with the talented pianist and songwriter Esther Bächlin. Together, as 'Bächlin & Elkholy,' they celebrated the release of their debut album Belonging, further showcasing Wael's commitment to artistic innovation.
