Solid State Radio
Frontman and songwriter Randy Michael anchors the indie rock of Solid State Radio, infusing it with his storied past. Michael played bass for Public Enemy at 15 and Butch Walker at 18. His guitar work shone with Amanda Shires, The Living Things, Bruno Mars, and Travie McCoy in 2010. He also created and played lead guitar for The Booze. A producer and co-writer, he helmed Mattiel's self-titled album and Satisfactory, co-wrote Curtis Harding's "Keep on Shining," and appeared on Ellen DeGeneres, Jay Leno, and Live with Jools Holland. He was featured in David Bowie videos and the film Neon Highway. Michael's poetic rock spirit evokes Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, and Phil Lynott.
