Nostrum — a driving sound that helped shape the rave era and continues to serve as a bridge between 90s nostalgia and modern peak-time aesthetics in today’s DJ sets. Since the early 1990s, Nostrum has released influential Hard- and Acid-Trance tracks that significantly shaped the rave and festival sound of the 90s and still appear in DJ sets today. Driving, anthemic trance leads with acid elements and uncompromising peak-time energy define his productions, which continue to influence the Hard Techno and Trance scene. Nostrum’s first release appeared in 1994 on the label Time Unlimited, followed by numerous singles, EPs, albums, and compilations that left a lasting mark on rave culture. Notable highlights include “Brainchild,” one of his early classics, “Blow Back,” a cult track that became a scene staple, and “Brilliant.” Beyond studio work, Nostrum is also an active live performer, appearing internationally. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, he regularly performed at raves, festivals, and club events and is considered one of the defining acts of that era. His tracks gained global recognition in DJ sets, making him a frequently booked name across Europe, the United States, and Canada. Nostrum remains active today: classics such as “Blow Back” are being reissued and remixed for modern club contexts — including the “Blow Back 2025” reworks by T78 — underscoring the enduring relevance of his music for new generations of DJs and clubbers.
